Editing Content

This guide explains how to edit content on this web site. Contains instruction on how to login, change between normal and editing mode, open content editing forms, and more.

Login

In order to edit content you must first login. The login process authenticates you to the system and grants you permissions depending on your user name and group memberships. The login form is available at the top of the right column on all pages (as seen on the image to the right).

Links & Modes

Once logged in, the top of the column changes to display the currently logged in user name. It also contains a number of links (as seen in the image to the left). The links allow you to change between normal and the special editing mode that allows manipulation of the web content. There are also links to logout and to open the full Liquid Site administration tool.

Status Blocks

After entering editing mode, all web content that can be modified is displayed with a status block preceding it (as seen to the right). This block also contains a link directly to the content editing form where the text can be modified.

Editing Form

The editing form contains different fields depending on which type of web content being edited. All fields in the form have a description explaining their meaning. The only fields that cannot be left blank are "Name" and "Comment". Some of the rich editing fields also contain a toolbar that allows formatting the text in various ways (see below).
